Maintenance/lack of water

I have played this course a couple times a year for the past 5 years. When it opened, it was a great course. However, due to maintenance and conditions, it has deteriorated. The course layout at Hidden Creek is great. It has unique, challenging holes that require good shot making and strategy. #4 is one of the best par 4's I've ever seen. However, during dry summers there has been a persistence to not water enough. I have played the course multiple times and have seen dust clouds kickup when driving a ball onto the fairway. And the ground has been rock hard.

Customer Service

I have had one bad experience with service but for the most part it is has been ok.

Layout and greens. Lots of do or die shots. Many doglegs and some blind shots that were usually straight forward.

Above...price a bit high for condition of course

Recommended to us as one of the tougher courses in the Rochester area. Slope about 125 from the blues...about 132 from the back tees. Newer course with a links style most of the way. Tee boxes were rough...uneven, beatup, and littered, broken ball washer, minor upkeep flaws. Cart paths are not paved and first cart ran out of gas on 15th hole. Overall layout was a lot of fun...good use of water and rough. Cost us $92 for two and a cart. It's worth about $60 now but will be a lot nicer in the next few years if they keep after the details. Would play again in a few years. Still need to see what else is available in the area to make any real comparisons. Golf in this area just doesn't seem to be a real priority item and it's been a bit of a scramble finding the tougher public courses. Greens were B+...a bit more contoured than most...could have used a bit more speed. Well maintained compared to tees. Overall 3+.
