Shoots in the 80s

This golf course will drive you crazy. It's short, just under 6000 yards, but plays to a Par 70 had a little more length before the widening of Highway 20/Dodge Street in the early 1990's. The club lost some land that forced shortening of the 12 and 13. It was designed by the noted architect Tom Bendelow in 1899. A traditional parkland course with holes framed by mature trees, the course plays as much up and down as it does forward. The greens are very fast, mostly small and very undulating. You have to think your way around as length is never a challenge, save for the long Par 4 4th, but that hole also features one of the more generous landing areas on the course. Bring good golf course management skills and your best short game to shoot near your handicap.
