Two words....American Golf

This course had been highly regarded in other reviews I had read in various magazines. My expectations were high as I prepared to play the course for the 1st time this summer.
I was thoroughly disappointed with Dub's Dread. The course is long and certainly challenging but every other aspect is average at best. The greens were in nice shape considering the lack of rain and that is about the only positive I can think of. All I could think of is how I felt like I was robbed to have paid $55.00. Half of that $55.00 would be more appropriate.
It is an American Golf managed course and it showed. The staff is as snobby as the course is shabby. Every American Golf managed course I have played (half a dozen or so) has shown this tendency. Charging a ton for green fees and putting a smug, condescending chap behind the counter does not make the pasture outside a premier track.

Somehow two groups were given the same tee time. No apology offered. Starter acted like it was our fault. Seems like a starter needs few skills..this guy had none!
