Excellent chipping areas. Straightfoward golf holes. the varitey of holes one will play in a round,exp. 477 yrd. #13 followed by a 285 yrd. #14 par four, every hole has its own character.

Walkability is horrible. Golf was meant played as a enjoyabe walk, at Shadow it can be more like a mountain climb then walk at some places. But that is what you get when building a course on the wonderful rolling hills of eastern Kansas.

One of the best courses in the city. Long from tips, but very fair with wide fairways and no tricks or gimmicks around the greens. New greens for '02 are great, and roll very true. Fairways are a touch too wide on some holes, and houses take away from natural beauty on some holes. Hole 12,13,14 make up one of the best three hole stretches in the country. Need to grow prairie grass in some parts of the rough to tie the course into its natural settings better. Great that course that needs a few touch ups before it reach full potential, new greens were a good start.

Shadow glen is what a country club is all about. The course is the best I have ever played on. It brand new for 2002 tour quality greens. If this course asn''t housed on some holes and on the others so tightly packed it would be a wonderful tour stop. The only thing is it''s forty-thousand just to join, if you ever get a chance to play the course do so. If your skill leve allows it play from th tips so you can get all you can out of this awesome course.
