Audubon Country Club is a classic. Not to mention they have a serious grounds keeping crew. The place was flat out immaculate. Excellent clubhouse and dining area. I think I saw two bars in the maze of halls that run through the rather bodacious structure. It's an old course with every mature tree available in our state. I love the place! It's not all tricked up with huge undulating greens, or double dogleg par fives. No bizarre mounding. Just a straight forward honest golf test. Hit it in the fairway, and you are rewarded. Hit it in the rough, you are penalized. The signature hole is the 197 yard, 17th. It's a slightly downhill par three, with a scenic pond in play. Moe and I both enjoyed playing Audubon. Moe used to caddie there when he was a little hellion. I shot 156 for the two day tourney. That's probably 30 strokes better than my previous Mid-Am effort. I was tied for third in low net when we gave up on watching the board and went home. Moe shot something a bit higher that he doesn't want to be reminded of. He was probably overwhelmed by nostalgia. No matter what level you play at, you will enjoy the classic features and beauty of Audubon. So, of course, Audobon is...THE PICK OF THE WEEK!

Customer Service

This is private. Proper attire needed. They have a short driving range where you can warm up with irons. Audubon has full service bar and restaurant. In fact they have a half way house where beverages are available.
