This is a very challenging, yet enjoyably relaxing course to play. The front nine offers you un-even lies with smaller greens. Making that ever ellusive G.I.R. hard to accomplish. Bring your A game if your looking to be up to the challenge. This corse however plays to the relaxed golfer. The "I've got all the time in the world" Golfer, because it's rarely ever over crowded, and theres tons of great sceenery to take in. You can litterly smell the pine trees baking in the sun. The back nine offers a lot of challanges to the long hitter with long, hilly fairways, yet larger greens. Pin placement can be the biggest putting challenge on the back nine, because, as big as the greens may be, they can be very sloped and un-even. I like this course because its maintained in beautifull shape all year round. as much rain and flooding we see all over Louisiana, this course is allways playable, and the greens stay firm, and well manicured. The staff at the small, country like (this is in the country by the way) club house is friendly and always ready to shake a hand. Come play golf the way it was supposed to be played. Challenge yourself, yet spend a relaxing day doing it.
