Shoots in the 80s

I played this course recently and decided that I am going to join this private club. The course isn''t very long (6,400 yards all the way back), but it is a par 70, and a tight driving course. If you consider that to make 2 of the par 4s on the front 9 par 5s, you''d have to add about 300 yards, you end up with a respectable 6,700 yards, so 6,400 isn''t all that short for a par 70. There aren''t any pushovers on this course. There are a few 430 yard par 4s, and several others over 400. 3 of the 4 par 3s are over 175, so those take a good shot as well. The greens are absolutely perfect. The speed is above average, and they roll very well. There are subtle undulations, and most greens slope gently from back to front. The greens aren''t huge, but they aren''t tiny either. The front 9 is a true test of driving off the tee. You have to place your ball in the right spot, otherwise you will be in amongst the trees, or even have trees blocking your approach from the wrong side of the fairway. Accuracy is at a premium, yet length is also required to leave yourself a decent approach. The back 9 is somewhat more open, but the 2 par 5s and 2 par 3s are very challenging. One par 5 exceeds 550, and has water immediately behind the green. The other par 5 is only 470, but has water fronting the green and extending on both sides of it, which makes for a true risk reward hole. The first par 3 on the back requires a very accurate tee shot of about 175 that carries water the entire way. Accuracy is at a premium here as well, because the entire hole is basically a chute through trees. All in all a very challenging course, one that I will learn to appreciate more and more each time I play.

Customer Service

Superb.

Range is somewhat small, and hitting driver gives you the opportunity to break a window in the houses behind the range. A net tries to catch the long ones, but I hit a well struck 3 wood over the net.
