Talked with several local golfers who believe this is a hidden gem. I loved the design and layout and although the grass was dormant, I believe it is a hidden gem and well worth a trip. I went to a site on the internet called Hidden Fairways.com to find this course. A great site for those who travel in Nothern & Central Alabama & Northern Georgia. Cold weather didn't permit us to play a couple other sites but they'll be included in our next trip. Alabama seems to be some of the best value for golf in the Southeast.
The only problem I noticed was a potential for soggy fairways after a rain. Nice variety of holes on this course

A "Southern Links" style course. Tight and aggressive.. this is descriptive of the course layout and the way you must play this course. One of my favorites!

Exemplary.

Greens and fairways are usually quite lush.

Greens can have dead spots. Is becoming a bit overpriced. If you are not on the fairway, there is a 60% chance your ball is gone forever. VERY marshy right off the path.

Fairly difficult course. Fairways are in good condition sometimes, but not always. Greens usually VERY soft, but sometimes there are dead areas, due to the bent grass and the heat.
