The course was in excellent shape. The greens rolled true, but...

...don't play this course if you want to enjoy a nice round of golf. The ranger (who had said nothing to us all day) showed up on the 13th hole and told us we were 2 holes behind, on a 6.5 hour pace, and to skip a hole or get off the course. There was NO ONE within two holes behind us and we actually finished in 4 hours 40 minutes, without skipping a hole. After the round, we were mad so went in the proshop to tell them they did not need to treat customers in this manner. They were complete jerks in the proshop, telling us we did play slow. The ranger said the only reason we finished so fast was because we finally sped up. If we had been on a 6.5 hour pace it should have been 5 hours when we were on 13, so I guess we went back in time. We still stayed for a beer and the owner actually came over and confronted us, saying that we held up the entire course. I asked how we could hold up the course when there was no one within two holes behind us. He had no answer. One of our golfers said he expected better treatment for $80 and he would not come back. The response from the owner was: That is why we charge $80 to keep people like you away and please don't come back we don't need your money. Pretty interesting statement since the parking lot was almost empty on a Saturday afternoon in August. I play 80-100 rounds of golf a year and have a 9 handicap and have NEVER seen or heard of the treatment and attitude displayed by the employees and ownership of this course. STAY AWAY!!!

Very nice Golf course. A little over priced at $80.00. The greens are extremely fast. We were told they were running at 12 on the stimp meter the day we played it.(table top speed) They should consider slowing the greens down just a little due to the undualation which makes it hard enough to putt. We had heard it was a narrow course but I didn't find it to be narrow at all. I thought the fairways were plenty wide enough. You didn't feel intimitated on any tee. The Ledges is definitely a must play Golf course.

Customer Service

We had 5 groups the day we played. Our last group was being harassed by the ranger to pick up the pace. However, carts were required to be on the cart path "only" and the greens were like putting on a table top. How can a course expect you to play in 4 hours when carts are required to be on the path and the greens are that fast. we played in 5 hours which I don't consider too bad on a public course. Besides the ranger we had no other issues. Everybody else was more than friendly. I would definitely go back to play there.
