Just correcting someone earlier who said the Eastern Open used to be played here... That was Mount Pleasant, not Mount Vista.

I normally shoot in the 80's at most golf courses. At Mt. Vista, i shoot close to the 60's. The whole course is nicely managed.

Mt. Vist is a great golf course especially for beginners like myself. Personally, I like a short golf course because I'm not very good with my woods. The fairways, greens, and tees are well maintained.

Shorter course gives you work on your short game. Greens can vary from day to day and hour to hour, fairly inconsistent. Outside of fairway was unkept after a good rain and forced me to lose more balls than usual.

Lengthy par 4's on a few holes. Par 5's usually unreachable.

No water to speak of, some O.B. Greens untrue.

Great value if anything else. They used to play the Eastern Open here years ago. Somewhat short, with a few stout par 4's (number 9, uphill 440 yards; number 14, 420 yards). Fairly well maintained throughout the year. For the money, probably the best bargain in town.
