This course is in great condition. The greens are the best in the area and will require skill and concentration. Don't try to overpower Greenspring, caress it- the course rewards gentle, careful golf; a calm mind and good imagination will be more important than the heroic drive.

Those who like to brag about 300 yd drives can do that as they look for their ball in the woods. Good iron play, a skillful wedge and sure putter are more useful weapons with which to attack this course.

As you stand on the par 3 first tee hard by the clubhouse, and a stone's throw from the par 3 18th, you may think you are in for a ho hum round. Don't be deceived. Greenspring isn't a grand golf course, and it won't overwhelm you. But it is a stern test of golf; if you aren't careful, it will subtly destroy your game. If you successfully navigate the narrow fairways, you will find postage stamp greens that are sloped and fast. You will seldom face a flat putt. This course will test your accuracy and short game.
