Compass Pointe Golf - Golf courses, Pasadena,

DESCRIPTION

Anne Arundel County, Maryland’s newest and only 36 hole public golf facility. Compass Pointe''s 36-holes of championship caliber golf was designed by award-winning architect Lindsay Ervin. The "four nines" - North, South, East and West - cover more than 800 acres of diverse woodland, and provide a wide variety of golf terrains and challenges for golfers of all skill levels. Driving Range, Putting green, Pro-shop, and Grille with Bar. This is my home course. You must play the North and the East on your better days. If your only have an ok day... stay away, play the South and West. The views are great, the course is great. The prices are for a premium course, it is a premium course!

Great course. 36 holes, you can always get on, good service, well kept greens/fairways. This course is one of my favorite places to play in Maryland.
Only downfall is that sometimes a bit pricey on early tee times/weekends.

Customer Service

Excellent.

Don't let the map fool you. They missed the course. It is about a mile northeast. Move the map and you can find some golf holes.
The four nines make this a great course for frequent play since it assures twice the usual variety. Many interesting hole layouts. Nice, natural aesthetics surround most holes, rather than housing.
Condition varies from average to good. Maryland is in one of the most difficult grass growing zones.

Customer Service

Friendly staff. Friendly starters.

This course compares favorably with (perhaps slightly better layout) the Woodlands and Timber Ridge, both of which, like Compass Pointe, are on the high end in terms of greens fees.

Played the north and east courses. Both were beautiful. Nicely maintained even though we played after a storm. Lots of geese, if you hit a worm-burner, you could be in trouble. Greens were the hardest part, some fast and some hard to read, in other words, try to putt last! All things considered; I would definetly play there again, maybe a twilight, the prices were a little steep.

Customer Service

Customer service was great. Plenty of advice and directions given in a kind manner. Beer girl wasn't bad on the eyes either....

Similar to the Bay Club in Ocean City, MD in that its a lot of land with little water.

Nothing really remarkable about this course. Greens and fairways are in nice shape and a fair challenge for any player. Ball loss is easy because there's hardpan where the rough is supposed to be, and lots of dense brush from tee to green on many holes. Water hazards appear to be just muddy runoff ponds from the McMansion developments surrounding the course. The clubhouse was an afterthought. Regular greens fees a tad high for the conditions.

Customer Service

With the exception of the course marshalls, customer service is fine.

Played the North and East Courses. Overall a pretty good course. Greens weren't consistent and one hole on the North course is a blind shot and course knowledge is helpful for that hole. Price is a little steep but good value if you can get the early specials.

Customer Service

Friendly
