They packed us in and rushed us!

Customer Service

Three of us went out on a Tuesday 10:12 tee time. We were partnered with a fourth who was walking, not ideal for my brother just learning to play. We were told that if we checked in to the first time later than 5 minutes before tee time we would be forced to drop in the fareway. From then on 2 foursomes were right behind us the whole way. The ranger talked to us 3 times even though we finished the front 9 in 2 hours 12 minutes. Surveyors were also in the fareways and on the greens as we played. The experiences was rushed, stressful and not worth the $120 we paid. Could understand some of this on the wekend, but not during the middle of the morning on a Tuesday!
By the way, also paid $3.96 for a .99 cent can of Arizona tea and $4.00 for a hot dog.

I play Diamond Ridge at least once a year because it is a good muni course. The front nine gives you opportunities to work the ball off the tee with a right-handed draw being the best shot on #1, 2, 4, 6, & 9, and a fade preferred on #3, & 7. The two par-3's on the front can be challenging due to significant elevation changes. The back nine holes are much straighter, but also tighter with woods crowding in on both sides of most tee shots. The course conditions are good for a muni and the price is fair. Expect average to slower putting speeds, but the greens are relatively consistent. You can also walk this course without much trouble. They have added several "environmentally sensitive" areas like the one between the fairways of #1 & 2 over the years. Ironically, if you play by the local course rule of getting a free drop out of these areas, then the course itself plays easier than its original design.

This is a fine little track for the money, with several memorable holes. As a single on weekends, longest wait to tee off never over 1/2 hr. Good strategy is check-in with both starters (D.Ridge and The Woodlands)and take the first game offered. Arrive early and slow play will not be a problem.

Customer Service

Service always friendly and on time.

This is a forgiving course that does not punish you too much. Not much water and almost no OB. It is fairly easy to score well. Nice layout. Bad fairways - too many different types of grass and not cut close enough. Greens are true but thick and slow.

Mediocre

Don''t even bother on a weekend. My last Saturday experience there lasted 7 hours and I was only able to finish 15 holes. That''s ridiculous. You can play 36 at a nicer course for less money in less time. Even on a weekday it''s a 5-hour round. An average golf experience in an over-crowded area.

Shoot in the 80s

Pretty nice course, but not especially challenging or unique. But it was well maintained and course conditions were very good for a course that gets a heck of a lot of play around Baltimore. The greens were in good shape, the fairways held up nicely, the rough was well attended to.
People complain that the service here is not great - typical, I think, of public courses where the demand's high. All in all, a good place for a round, but nothing distinctive or memorable about the course.
On the other hand, the sister course here, The Woodlands, has a couple fine holes and, though still a young course, makes a far more distinctive experience at a slightly higher price.

Customer Service

Annoying that you can't make a tee time with a live person - they're so busy and increasingly impersonal that times have to be made using either a computer or electronic phone answering machine, which require jumping through all kinds of excrutiating hoops and sometimes fails to work. A definite pain in the butt.

OK, A must play! I golf on average two days a week and spread it out among many different courses. For the money and conditions this is by far one of my top three. The fairways are always plush and green(even in February!) and tee boxes are kept up too. Not much water but the course is very challenging. Good length, tough but large greens and well shaped holes make for an interesting round. Room to let loose on the long woods with wide open fairways and easy rough.

Customer Service

called pro shop once and would not let me make a tee time unless I called the automated # and that wouldn't work so I went somewhere else
