Millwood is a very unique course. The story goes (or is it legend?) that when the course was initally built there was an agreement with the audobon society to have the final 4 holes accross the street. The society backed out after the 14holes were built. You will see the park on your right side as you tee off on the 14th hole. Its really tight actually and one errant drive and your hitting into a parking lot (hacks beware !). Not a bad course to learn the ropes on, you will need all the clubs in your bag except for your driver. The longer par 4's are a hair over 400 (3 of them) and one par 5 thats down hill to a wide open landing area, definate birdy potential (believe its the 8th hole). couple of 110 yard par 3's make it feel like a bit of a hack course but given the amount of traffic on this course its in decent shape.

Customer Service

Very good, guys are pretty laid back and friendly. Again this isnt a big time course and everyone knows it, that makes it a really relaxed time.

Good club house, small but you can get a beer and a dog and shoot the sh!t, without having to listen to braggards talking about thier 4 under rounds :) 20 bucks a round isnt to shabby either (weekdays)

Millwood is well known in Framingham. Where else would you find a 14 hole golf course, yes 14 holes. The level of play ranges from first timers to old timers. The course is well maintained. You can call for a tee time or just show up prior to 6:30 and start play, paying when you are done. You can rent pull carts and two seaters. The starter will get you going, but there is no real Ranger monitoring the speed of play. This is where the course lets itself down. Plan on spending 5 hours playing 14 holes on a Sunday. Most holes are a par 4, some 3's. I forget, but there might even be a par 5 tucked in there. Some holes are challenging, some are scenic, but for the most part the course is just nice to play and reasonably priced. The clubhouse has a nice selection of beer, but I haven't eaten there so I can't comment on the dogs and burgers.

Customer Service

Friendly people. The Starter usually has a comment for the next group teeing off that usually describes the previous group that just tee'd off. He keeps you laughing.

Beer is nice and cold. Try to play with Butch and Nukes if you can. You won't be disappointed - 5 hours will go by fast with them around.
