Shanty Creek is a "golf mecca". It has 4 courses on site with two additional courses within 2 miles. The best course on site is Cedar River and is easily a top 10 public course in michigan. Cut right into woods this course is simply amazing. It has pretty wide open fairways and usually you can swing for the fences. This is a top wieskoff designer and he also produced Forest Dunes so you know your in for a treat. A pretty long course with average greens is a must play for the avid golfer.

The Legend is a close second and is an arnold palmer design. It is rather short but it does have alot of elevation change. Usually Shanty creek offers $99 stay n play for 1 night and unlimited golf so one cannot beat that deal.

I would also suggest playing Hawkseye and the Chief which is a 1.2 mile down the road and well worth the price. Overall Shanty Creek and Hawkseye are some of the best courses in Michigan
