Shoots in the 80s

2 years ago, this was the premier course in the area. Now, there are large clumps of grass in the fairways, greens are like rocks and the hurry up atmosphere is not even worth the $12 I paid. This is actually worse than any other course in the area and I will not return. I feel that the care for the course has gone downhill and since the country club closed, they feel they have no reason to maintain the same standards.

My wife and I went and played 18 holes today. The course was in great shape especially when you consider it is November in Michigan and we have had a ton of rain in the past few weeks. The fairways were well kept as well as the greens. The sand traps (Yes, sand unlike some local courses that seem to have a problem with stones in the sand) were well edged and defined. There was nothing I could find that was not nice about this course. The only issue I had was finding the path to the next hole because I had never played the course before but that was no big deal.

I plan on telling everyone I know about this course and if they are offering memberships next season I am planning on getting one for the whole family. Thanks for the GREAT day of golfing!

If you are reading this and are thinking that Greenville is a long way to drive for a round just do yourself a favor and go! You will not regret it!

Customer Service

The service was great!! The person in the clubhouse was very polite as was the person setting up the carts. The clubhouse is clean, well kept, and nice. To you folks running Glenkerry, please keep up what you are doing and keep the prices about the same and you will do nothing but grow!!! I drove about 20 miles to get there and the people behind us drove almost an hour and they loved it as well.

I have played a lot of courses in Kent, Ottawa, and Montcalm county and the only other "links" course I can recall would be Cedar Chase in Cedar Springs. I usually play Whitefish lake and on occasion Pilgrims Run. I have played Gleneagle, Deer Run, Ironwood, The Pines, Rolling Hills, Western Greens, Maple Hill, Alpine, And I know quite a few more but this course is right up top no matter the price. With that said, we only paid $25 for our two some for 18 w/ cart. Pilgrims Run is about $50 a person, Whitefish even this late in the year is still $15 for 9 holes per person and Whitefish isn't half the course that Glenkerry is. Pilgrims Run is a REALLY nice course but not for $100 vs. $25!

Great Golf Course! Well manicured fairways and absolutely fantastic greens. Lynx style, which adds to the fun. I was very impressed and plan to return.

Customer Service

The staff is second to none! Treated us very well and answered all questions politely. I wish all clubhouse staff were like glenkerry's.

Nothing compares to this course when you consider the amount of money payed to play there. It is the best deal I have ever gotten on a golf course.
