Shoot in the 80s

Springport Hills is composed of an older, nine hole course (now the back nine) and a recent, more upscale nine (front) called "Loggers Trace".
Logger's Trace is a pretty well maintained, fair set of holes. #1 is a fairly long par 5, which is a pretty hard starting hole if the wind is up. The rest of the front holes are carved out of forest, which means a fair amount of trees, scrub grass right and left. You can hit the ball fairly wildly, but you will lose balls and have a hard time scoring. Some of the greens are very small, and they have typically been very slow.
The back nine is more wide open; seems like an old country course, built on farmland. Not much of a challenge unless the wind is up, when the small greens become hard targets.
This is not an upscale course, but it is a good value for the money, and the pace of play has typically been excellent.
