Shoots in the 90s

I read the previous review, and was scared to playing and being disappointed. I went on the labor day holiday, and it was not crowded. $32 18&cart. However, Branson Bay is actually a pretty good long challanging course. The review did them no justice. If you're a snob, goto Eagle eye. This course is great for the recreational or decent golfer. The front was easier and flatter than the back, and the back has great terrain and elevation. Including a difficult 10 hole that demonstrates great elevation changes. The back is more scenic, and the greens were better. 18 had a big tree in the center of the fairway as a hazard. I hit a great drive, but it got me. Overall, I'd play there again. The tee boxes are fair. The course distances are marked at 100,150,200. Try it.

Shoots in the 80s

This was the only course around Lansing we could get a tee time on short notice on a Sat afternoon. That should have made me wary then. This course has really gone downhill in the last few years. 2-3 years ago it was OK. Tee box turf and signage were a joke. Areas of baked hardpan in the rough and around the fringe on the green in spots. Saw not less than 4 foursomes with clowns playing in Levi cutoffs and NO SHIRTS! I'm not a golf snob, but for $21 for 9 holes, they could do a lot better. Virtually no distance markers other than 200, 150, and 100. Lots of mole damage on the course. Some kind of funky, alomost bermdua looking grass in the rough around the greens.

Completely opposite nines. Good for scoring but not all that well maintained. Very bad signs describing holes and confusing distances off tees. Would be a fun back nine if kept up a little better.

seemed fine but have only been there once
