Played this course shortly after it opened. Walked off mid way through-the first and only time I have ever done that!Demanded refund. They charged full green fees while playing to temporary greens. To their credit they gave me a full refund.I have not been back since. Too many blind shots. Poorly desinged holes. Wasn't "fun" or fair. I want to give them another chance but haven't yet.

The best word to describe this course is gimmicky. I played here because i won a free round, and i'm glad i didn't have to pay. As a first timer on the course, it is virtually impossible to know where you are supposed to hit. They try to make to make it easier, by having the GPS satellites and displays in the carts (i'll get to that later). But even with that, there are too many blind shots and small landing areas. Many times, you can hit the ball exactly where you want to, and it will be in the rough.

Devil's Ridge is in pretty good shape. Some greens are very fast, and others are about average. Overall, the course played very fast. The ball bounced and rolled a lot on the fairways and the greens. It is very hard to hold the greens with anything more than a 7 iron. The tees were not in good shape at all. Often, it was difficult to find a spot to stand without one foot being in someone's divot. And on some holes, the tee's weren't even level.

A beautiful course with some truely stunning views. A very nice mix of flat and serious elevation change holes. Maintenance is always up to high standards. Tees are in great condition. Greens are nice but could be faster. The #9 hole is one of the toughest closing holes I've played. Some of the holes like #'s 1,2 &12 every golfer should play at least once.

Customer Service

Professinal staff.

Very pretty course in excellent condition. Greens very good but tough to read break right. Accuracy and shot placement very important on most holes due to tigh fairways, deep woods and scrub, water and severe doglegs on some holes. Generally fun if you don't get aggravated easily by your own mistakes. Great views and nice general surroundings. Course being renovated to minimize difficulty on some of the tougher holes.
