The course is well maintained and watered, with areas under repair kept to a minimum. Well-placed treelines seperate holes, make playing from adjacent fairways difficult. A few holes have risk/reward choices, but every hole is playable by a novice.

The lack of significant terrain, particularly around the greens, allows for easy recovery shots. Rough should be allowed to grow slightly longer, and fairways could be tightened in driving areas to increase difficulty for better players. No blue tees - increased length on some holes would provide a better challange.

This flat course, tucked off the beaten path in Petersburg, MI, offers beginning and infrequent golfers a chance to try their skills without being overwhelmed when they miss a shot. The course is short, coming in at slightly over 5700 yards from the white tees, and flat. Water comes into play on several holes. The course will be affordable, costing $25 for a weekend round with cart.
