I'm not sure where the other reviewer has been, but there are a tremendous amount of golf courses in the Rochester Hills area. I can count 15 within 30 minutes drive time.

Depending who you talk to, some people love this course, others absolutely hate it.

This is a nice variety of holes, with trouble on many. Always in great condition.

The people that hate this course can't stand that they constantly try to move you along. Well, I *LIKE* that part of this course. It gets tiring playing 5 hour + golf behind a bunch of hackers. There are so many simple things you can do to speed up your round (all you have to do is save 2 minutes/hole) and these folks will get you going.

Shoot in the 100s

Having found this little gem right near my backyard has been a great surprise!

The story on this place is that it's one of a few courses in the metro detroit area. Other courses are Cherry Creek in Shelby and a new one in Clarkston. My brother in law to be and I decided that we had had enough of playing around the driving ranges and wanted to get out to test our skills. While we are just beginners, this course felt so right from the start (even though we have yet to play all 18). They stress time management here, giving you a time to benchmark against at each tee. If you're behind, you'll know based on their clocking times. We didn't have too many problems despite finding a few hazards. It plays pretty long, one whole is around 580 or so from the blues. It's really quite beautiful scenery, you hardly know you're dead smack in the middle of the burbs. The only hole that this becomes aparent is the 6th, a dogleg right around a pond. You tee up right off of South Blvd, so concentration is a must. The trees are stunning, and the rolling terrain is quite a treat. As far as maintenance goes, all of the tee boxes were well kept, the greens clean and free of divets. Their driving range is quite nice, plenty of room for beginners to try to take the kinks out of their slices. Finally, the clubhouse is nice. It's a small building, but it feels like you've stepped into your great room.

Customer Service

Course's customer service was excellent. Tee times are a bit tricky in the summer, especially on Saturday morning. In the fall, however, no problem. Best time to play, though - the colors turn and it's stunning.
