I have recently been looking for a new golf course to play for the summer because the course I used to play is far to expensive for the shape that the course is in. When I look for a good golf course to play all the time it has too have a good price but not too low because then you can have too many people that are only playing because it's cheap, which really slows down the game.

I decided to try out Valley View golf course in Shields because it is not too far of a drive and a lot of my friends play there. I have played at this course in the past, but never really checked out the whole course and everything it offered. I started off by going there on the first day it opened for the season to see what it was like this early in the year and to see if they had made any big changes to the course.

I asked some of my friends what they thought about the course and all of them said that they enjoy playing there on a regular basis. They offer very fair prices to just come in and play. It cost around 30 dollars to play 18 holes at valley view during the summer compared to 36 for 18 at the course near my house. Which really allows me to try new things and not worry about wasting my money.

The way the course is set up makes it a very good option for a lot of people to play. It is set up so that if you are playing good the course can be extremely easy but if you do not play the right shots it can become a very difficult course. This is something that I really like when I am looking for a course to play all the time because then on any day I can go out and still be challenged by the course. Another big positive of the course is that there is different tee boxes for each hole, which allows the course to be changed often and can make it so you are having to change what you do on each individual hole every time you go out to play.

The staff both inside the clubhouse and outside working on the grounds crew are good and very positive about what they are doing. One bad thing about the outside workers is that sometimes they would be too close to us when we were playing and it is very distracting to have someone with a lawn mower in the background. There is also a problem with how wet the course gets when it rains and it does not get rid of water easily. This means the course can be extremely sloppy for a few days after it rains which is not a fun time to play.

Overall this experience of trying the golf course was very positive and I will definitely be playing there more often this summer. Comapered to how much I played at other courses because of the quaility of the course over others. I would recommend it to others to come out and play as well.
