Its 2012 yet the staff here enforces discriminatory actions. We are of ethnics decent and this was our first time to this course. Upon check-in we had asked about a replay rate as it was quite a hike to hasintgs from the cities. The gentleman at the counter was curtious enough to inform that a replay is $17 and to just come back in when we are finished and he can let us out without a problem. We had a group of 8 and right off the first t box the ranger was hot on our trail. Unsure what actions we might have made to suggest any reasons for it, but we were questioned several times if we had outside drinks or beer and shall be escorted out iif caught drinking them?? Now none of us had any outside drinks or beer and we were more tha willing to empty our bags. We were all curious if they question every one of their guest in this manner? Well, of course not! The cousre was fairly packed and the ranger never left our sight throughout the entire game. We brushed it off to say that the ranger might have nothing better to do that day. So we decided to play again as it was quite a drive out there and the rates were fairly reasonable the second time around. Upon checking back in to the front desk, we were told by the same gentleman that the course is now full and there isnt another opening for several hours. I happen to glance at the first tee and no one was in sight, nor were there many guests on the entire property waiting to play. Unsure as to why this was, I decided to pull up their website on my phone and sure enough, there were tee times available the rest of the day! We were furiousa this point, but decided not to make a fuss as it will waste our time and ruin everyone's day of wanting to play another round. So we decided to just leave and never come back. We headed down to Emerald Greens and the staff their were extremely curtious and were more than wiling to take our business! Does Hidden Greens in Hastings not want business from OUTSIDERS??

WOW this is a good value. The best hole is the 3rd. It is a hard par5 with sand on both sides off the tee. Lots of trees.

Customer Service

Nice and very kind people.

Really nice course, so nice I've practically made it my 'home' course, and I live 30 minutes away. No houses or traffic to worry about. Lots of trees so watch out. Hole #3 stands out as somewhat a 'signature' hole. Par 5, you need to hit long just to hit fairway, guessing 190-200 yrds, with sand on the right. It's severely lined with mature trees and it has a slight dogleg right to a tree guarded green.

Customer Service

Friendly people, let us pay for nine because it might look like rain. When it didn't let us do the back nine with at a regular rate, no extra charge.

One of my favorite courses. When they say hidden greens they mean it. Large oak trees line the sides of almost every fairway. This is a thinking mans track. If you hit the driver 280 plus leave it at home!! you will be in the woods on almost every long hole. If your out to enjoy nature and the view then you with love this course!

It is obvious to see why this course has been named to the top five best bargain golf courses in Minnesota. It has the feel of a Brainerd lakes course, but is very reasonably priced. It is very challenging and requires you to think about unthinkable shots. Excellent course.

I'll totally agree with Luther on his review. It actually DOES feel like a "mini-Augusta". It's so very quiet with lush, green scenery from wall to wall. Beautiful, tall tree line every fairway and give you sense of isolation on several holes. You'll immediately fall in love with this course the first time you play it. I guarantee it. Although the scorecard is anything but intimidating, you'll appreciate the ability to hit accurate iron shots off the tees. How DO you hit your ball off forest foliage? The fairways were a bit long, but the greens were consistent and in great shape. The rough is great, it's thick and consistent. You'll want to stay in the "short stuff" here.

For anyone who is looking for the hidden gem in Minnesota, this is it! This course has the look and feel of Augusta... with the price of a municipal course. The greens are just a advertised - hidden. They are also small and undulating. The fairways are in respectable condition, but the tee boxes need some work. The scenery is excellent and the layout is great fun - challenging every club in your bag. I would absolutely recommend this course for anyone looking for a quiet, mature, country club like "hidden gem".
