Shoots in the 90s

They have been doing alot of work at Brightwood Hills for the past couple of years and have for the most part addressed the drainage problems. This can be a challanging little course if the pin and tee placements are in certain spots. All the greens are elevated to varying degrees, and there is ample opportunity to hit into water or trees. The par 4's have narrow fairways and on #6 you have to hit over a large pond. This course has no bunkers. As of '06 they are having trouble getting the grass to grow on the seventh green. Course maintenance seems to be going on constantly. Depending on the time of year goose poop can litter parts of the course.

Shoots in the 90s

This course seemed like it would be set in a beautiful wooded area, but I eventually found myself practically golfing in people's backyards. People sat on their decks and watched as I shanked quite a few balls..mostly because I was afraid of hitting them (which would be quite easy). As for the course itself, the people are very nice and walk on tee times are incredibly easy to come by...for a reason. There are leaves and broken branches ALL OVER the course, making it difficult to find your ball. The greens are even worse. Patchy, eneven, and dirty. If you don't want a course marshall on your back, this is the place to come (I never saw anyone come by). That was kind of nice because I could play two or three balls on each hole. But for $9, I might be back for a cheap workout.

Customer Service

The nicest people around.

Shoots in the 100s

Nice layout although awful grounds keeping. Played course 2 days after rain and ran into an ankle deep mud moat around the 2nd green. Greens were brown in places and rough. Putting was interesting. Would not play again.

Shoots in the 100s

This is from 2001 - nice place, played about five times in 2001, doing some fixing to their number seven hole. That should have been done five years before. New club house, looks nice, but lost the feeling of the ''Up North Cabin'' feel of the old house. Slowwww play, with lots of older folks and people like me on the course.

Customer Service

Not bad, always willing to try and work around any problems.
