You will notice that the reviews that are older are very good but the recent ones are beginning to reflect the truth. This use to be a fabulous place but times have changed. The management has been changed and the quality of the course is being reflected in that change. This use to be a 4.5 star course but it is quickly becoming a 2.5 star at the hands of this manager. I'm not sure if the supt. is not being properly funded or if he is totally out of touch. Dandelions and crabgrass have taken over the tee boxes and fairways, the greens (once some of the best) are marginal. It is sad to watch the demise of such a wonderful course. The only thing that is in abundance are excuses.....it's the weather, it's too hot, too dry, too wet, too cool etc. That's the golf business put on your big boy pants and get the job done or move on. The time has come for someone to proclaim the King is naked. Junior ain't getting it done, time to move him....your patrons will pay for the party.

The course is overpriced and the management are idiots. NO IDEA OF WHAT SERVING A CUSTOMER MEANS. I'll never go back!

The nice part about Willingers is the scenery - no houses or highways, just trees and marshland. Full services, always in great condition. Excellent value, all around very nice course, moderately difficult with lots of water. A bit of a drive to get to compared to other twin cities area courses.

Had a chance to play this for the first time last week and I don't understand what all the fuss is about!? This is a nice course but not any nicer than a lot of the public courses in Minnesota. Sure it's a shotmakers course but so what? Most courses are for the average golfer/hacker.

The course has some fast green and some tough dogtail holes but it is nothing special IMO. Is it a nice course? YES! Is it a great course? NO! It's one of those places that you play once and forget about it, unless you live close to it.

It does have a very nice clubhouse and decent practice facility as well, and the staff is quite knowledgable and friendly too.

There are a handful of excellent public courses in the area for those looking to have their game challenged, and this is one of them. The fairways are lush and the greens roll very nice. Steer clear of the rough or it will cost you. Those who have good course management skills, will score best here. Friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

One of the better public courses in the state. Very hard course if you play the back tees. Bent grass greens and fairways. Secluded course surrounded by marsh and woods, no homes in site.
