Shoots in the 80s

One of the best kept secrets in Columbus. Very easy to get on, not very expensive to play, and much more challenging than it appears on first glance. The 7th hole is a very challenging par 5 that is a lot shorter than it actually looks. Check your distance carefully after that first shot and don't use too much club.

Customer Service

Generally quite good.

Shoot in the 80s

Van Berg is one of two public golf courses in Columbus, Nebraska. It is a nine hole course consisting of one par 3 hole, two par 5 holes, and 6 par 4 holes. It is relatively inexpensive to play on and is hardly ever crowded. Although not an especially difficult course, Van Berg is sufficiently challenging enough for me to come back time and again. The most challenging hole on the course is the 7th, a par 5 with a 90 degree dogleg to the left which is actually much shorter than it looks. Very few players reach the green in less than 3 strokes.
