Greens, easy to walk

Some condition problems on fairways and rough...may not challenge high level players.

For a small town track, this course is quite good. The fairways and rough areas are in pretty good shape, with some patches of ground that could be "under repair". It may not get all of the attention it needs sometimes, particularly in extra wet or dry seasons. The one constant at Overton is the quality of the greens. They are relatively flat, but the condition is really as good as can be found anywhere. They roll at an average pace, but always smoothly. They will always hold an iron shot, even without backspin. This is an excellent course for novice players!
