Condition, inconsistency of the greens and greenside areas.

I have played this course four times...I keep thinking each time that I will like it more than the last, and each time I am wrong. While short, this course is very difficult to score on. The greens are very small and will not usually hold an approach shot, even with a wedge. The fairways are not mowed short, which makes it impossible to spin a ball. The rough is not long, but there are many areas where growth is sparse and bad lies are aplenty. There are a few holes which will reward a nice tee shot with a trip into the trees or a gnarly lie on a sidehill. The greenside areas are very inconsistent in their condition, also. The greens seldom putt smoothly and seem inconsistent. The hilly terrain means lots of uneven lies. Overall, I would not play this course if I had another to choose in its place.
