This is a very beautiful golf course. It''''s located on tributaries of the Carson River. When they built this golf course they did a very nice job of leaving most of the 100 year old cottonwood trees from the old ranch. This course is flat. Its difficulty lies in water and pot bunkers. A good tee shot to position your ball to the greens is a must. It''''s not particularly long nor overly difficult. I personally feel this course is easier than Sierra Nevada Golf Ranch which has many elevaion changes. This course is flat, knock-down beautiful especially in the fall with the changing of the leaves. Conditions are impeccable. The clubhouse is first rate. Great pro-shop, restaurant and bar. Has all 1st class amenities. Can be pricey and is cart only. Our round took about 4 1/2 hours. I have heard that rounds can be very long here.

Customer Service

First rate. Tbey''''ll carry and load your bags for you.

Shoot in the 80s

One of the top two courses in the Carson Valley. The other being Sierra Nevada golf ranch. Both are comparable in prices and are must plays if you are vacationing. I can't see playing them both on a regular basis, you could go broke. Genoa is a much different course than the links syle Sierra Nevada golf ranch. When you get back into the big sycamores and oak trees, this course is very pretty and if you are lucky you may see packs of deer. The course itself is very challenging and the greens are very puttable. You must straight off of the Tee or you will find trouble. Alot of water and wasted areas. This course is also always in great shape. Again, beware of the afternoon winds, I've played here when the pin on the par three #8 was practically bent over in half with the wind coming down off the mountains.

Shoot in the 80s

one of the nicer courses around tahoe. a short drive
from south lake tahoe. staff is very professional
and rates are good. ($95?) The greens are very good and
are easier to read than say incline village. Can be
difficult if the wind picks up.
