Shoots in the 90s

3 distinct 9's on this one: the original "Founders" which is very wide open, the tighter "Horizon", which is more like other non-desert layouts in Vegas, and the new "Desert", which is a tight, target-golf type course. Overall, the course is in good condition, but has the character that "perfect" courses lack. Has an older-course feel to it but is very fun overall

Customer Service

The staff is informal but very friendly and helpful, and never give you the impression that they're looking for a tip. You'll see the cart girl 4 times per round.

Similar to many Vegas courses because of the 3 different 9's.

Shoots in the 80s

I have no idea why this course is still open. I have played many courses in the area, and I have to say that this is one of the worst. Very boring layout, bad fairways, greens with more speed bumps than a stadium parking lot. Not to mention the 60 bucks I had to pay, which is way too much for this course. There are several courses in the area for about the same price that are so much better. Not even the club house was decent.

Customer Service

Very friendly, but I would be too if I was trying to get people to play here.

You won't find a better value in Southern Nevada than Black Mountain. Overall a very nice course. You can often find deals on golf702.com for rounds of 18 from 20-30 bucks which includes cart rental.

Shoots in the 70s

I would have to disagree with the review stating that this golf course is a challenging course. While the greens are fast and and fairly tricky the ample fairway space and lack of dangerous hazards make it a easy course to navigate. The last round that I played at black mountain cc the wind was a steady 35 mph, but I still managed to shoot a 79. If you keep the ball in the fairway it will be hard to double bogey any hole at this course.

Customer Service

The service is very good and even excellent considering the cost.

One of the best courses I ever played! Immaculately maintained wide fairways and beautiful greens. Gorgeous views of the mountains. Very professionally run. And very reasonable green fees to boot. Highly recommended!
