Played at Rio Secco in April 2010, play is sooooo slow, 5 hour plus round. Every thing food, drinks, rental clubs, merchandise, taxi were expensive and lousy.

Customer Service

Staff comes across arrogant, cold, and you are just a number.

The course is very nice. It needs to be for the high dollar cost to play there. The greens are fast, but not nearly as bad as I thought after having played at Coyote Springs (The Chase) earlier in the week. Those aren't even fun. The course is reported to be tough and it is challenging, but can be played by a "decent" player. I had an off day and shot 94, but that was because I was trying out new clubs and took a bit before I could get yardage. I'd play here again if in Vegas, and Tiffany is the highlight here. She was our Caddy Gal and was helpful to a first timer here in knowing where to hit and where not to hit. Played in early March and the pace of play was very good. Made in the about 4 1/2 hours.

Customer Service

The people were very friendly to us. The director of golf asked how if we enjoyed ourselves and made a point to get our feedback. The gal in the clubhouse (19th hole) was as friendly, cute and pleasant to a group of 12 who were thursty.

Absoultely love this course! have played it 4 times. Not far at all from the strip. Get course with majo elevation changes and beautiful greens, fairways and scenery. If you haven't played do so ASAP. If you stay at a harrahs casino you can get a break on the rate.

Played the course on 10/21/07 after playing Wolf Creek the day before. What a night and day difference. Rio Secco is twice as hard as Wolf Creek. I understand they are both different types of courses. One thing about Rio Secco is the speed of the course from the fast fairways to the unbelieveable greens. The starter said that they were playing at around 13 on the stimp meeter with the wind. (30-40 mph winds). This course is tight and your club selection has to be smart. The greens will turn make you 3 putt if your not careful. Aim for the front of the Green on every shot. The course is stunningly beautiful, carved out of the canyon and a great view to the city. Can't wait to go back and play again.

Customer Service

Proshop guy was not very helpful but the starter took care of us.

Rio Secco is an amazing track carved right out of a canyon with great elevation changes and desert scenery. That being said, it is not a course for beginner or even average players, there are other options in Vegas which are just as nice and more player-friendly (Reflection Bay, Revere, Primm Valley). I can see why this is Tiger Woods' home course in Vegas, it can be brutal. You need your A game here. If your looking for a challenge look no further.

Myself and 6 other avid golfers were excited to try out this supposed magnificent golf course, but after we were done, we took to calling it Rio Sucko. It was indeed a tough track with very fast greens, but there was nothing there that was worth the $225 tab. What started it off was the credit card slip for the green fee had a place for a Gratuity. Like I was going to tip someone for charging me $12.50 for each of 18 holes. There were two other things that made it a rip. The cart seats were torn (geez you would think they could afford to fix them) and when one of discovered he had left his 9 iron at the practrice green, we called the pro shop. Not only didn't they bring it out, but it was missing when we went back to get it. We then went down to Primm Valley and played two courses that were BOTH better golf courses for a whole lot less money. So unless you want to brag about playing such a high dollar golf course, frive down to Primm and play both courses for the price of Rio Sucko.

These had to be the fastest most difficult greens i've ever played! I consider myself a good putter but three putted seven times during my round..WHEW! It was like putting on an ungulating pool table! They left me shaking my head and cursing like a salior all day. I've never played Augusta National but their greens can't possibly be any more difficult than these marble floors! Things got so bad i was just praying to two putt from ten feet away. It was getting so ugly i needed a calculator just to figure up my putt total at the end of my round. I'd worship the person who could walk off these geens after 18 holes with 30 putts or less. The couse was in immaculate condition with beautiful scenery. Played on July 15 and paid $85. If i had paid the winter fee of $300 i probably would have swan dived off a high rise after adding up my score. If your used to putting on slow bumpy fur rugs at your local municipal you better fasten your seat belt when come to Rio Secco!

Well let me start by saying this course is TOUGH! I have played many courses and this just might be the toughest. The greens must have been around a 13 on the stimp. From the back tees it plays over 7350 yards. Many of the par 4''''s are around 490 yards or so. It is fun to play a course like this but the greens were just sooooo tough. Especially if you have never played there before. This is a great track and service is first rate but be prepared to shoot big scores.....

Customer Service

great.

Call for a sedan instead of taking a taxi. It is going to cost you just as much and dont have to wait as long for it to show up. We called for it on the 17 tee and it got there right after we finished
