Shoots in the 80s

Just played this course on 8/21/08 and found it as challenging and beautiful as I did in 2003. The rage was very nice and distances well marked. The range tees are were in great shape. The course was in good shape and tees and greens in very good condition. Course is well watered and everything that should be "green", is.

Customer Service

Excellent customer service. All employees from the pro shop, starter, ranger and snack bar were very accomodating. It's clear they put a priority on customer serivce.

PLAYED THIS COURSE 5-11-03 THIS IS A GREAT COURSE. WE PLAYED HOLES 10-27. WE TEE'D OFF AT 7:00AM AND ONLY PAID $37.50 A PERSON. THE FRONT NINE WAS VERY TOUGH. LOTS OF CANYONS AND DESERT LAND THAT YOU CANT PLAY OUT OF. THE BACK WAS A LITTLE MORE TYPICAL THROUGH SOME HUGE 24,000 SQFT HOMES. THIS COURSE IS WELL WORTH ITS FULL PRICE OF $100+

I've played this course four times; it has never been in very good shape. Last time, greens were terrible. I've never been that impressed with the layout. Typical Johnny Miller design. Narrow fairways, and only one area to miss on approach, or you're dead. You think you hit a good shot, but you're wrong. If you're coming to Vegas, try Paiute. It's the best course in the city. Siena and Anthem are also good.

Desperado and Diablo
The course played extremely well. It was rather wet in the morning but dried out over the few hours of play.
he greens were maintained beautifully and dried throughout the day keeping the course challenging.
The sand traps were rather course and thick, so unfortunately were more of an annoyance than a challanging hazard.
The view was outstanding and the course was a tough play.
The small canyons/gourges were fantastic and difficult, making ball placement off the tee a must.

Customer Service

We were rushed through at one point due to a tournament behind us. This made us angry but the marshals handled the situation well.

Shoot in the 80s

The course has been getting shaggier each time we play it. The greens are being taken over by another type of grass that look terrible but it does not affect the actual putting. The golf course is very difficult, even for an 80's player. The wind can be relentless and what you think is a good shot may not have the expected results. The course is made up of 3 nine hole segments and it is difficult to play the ones you want. It has a GPS system that is not very helpful when you really need it.

The pro shop has a poor selection of golf attire and were out of decorative ball markers. In general, the merchandise is not paid enough attention. The driving range does not have many middle distance targets near the center and errant shots can go into the adjacent fairways.

I thought the course was great and that Miller did a great job in designing though.
The course was in superb condition.
The greens were in fabulous condition but were actually kind of slow for the front 9 but then they sped up quite a bit.
The fairways were great too and the tee boxes were a little hashed par 3's but other than that i give the course a great rating.
They give you a bucket of balls to start everything out and the range is grass and is a pretty good practice area

The only bad thing is the green fee and i played there in march and our fee per person with a cart was about 190$$ and i thought even though the course was nice it wasnt worth 190 but i would play it again.

The course was worth 190$ but there was really no close scenery. THe beautiful mountains were relatively far away and that was all that was nice about scenery. It is a desert golf layout and for a desert course very beautiful but the green fee is a little high.

All in all i liked it and had a good expierience but it wasnt sucluded or anything like that so it didnt seem like like a nice 190$ resort but any golfer in the las vegas area should and they have 27 holes.

Customer Service

they were a nice stuff but didnt have much confrintation with them
