Shoots in the 80s

Played in November 2001, course was in great shape for the end of the year but we did have good weather. Pro shop was polite. However once we were outside the pro shop it was a different story. Our foursome was told we were next 3 times, I had asked if they were a little backed up and they said about 1 tee time behind, we teed off 1/2 hour after our scheduled tee time of 12:30. Needless to say we didn''''t get in the 18 on the Bay course. It was extremly slow, Ranger would just drive by, never slowed down. We reached 14 and there actually was a 6-some, yes 6-some on 16 green. The worst part though was I sent an e-mail to the pro and the course and there was no response from them, I would have just liked an appology for the trouble we had. Don''''t take anyone there if it is a bussiness golf day, it doesn''''t look good. (teed off at 1:00 had to quit on 15 at 5:30 darkness) 4 1/2 hours for 15 holes???????????????????/

Customer Service

Just be honest and tell a group if your backed up. Why bother having Rangers.

Shoots in the 80s

I have a summer house near Seaview and have played many times. The place has gone downhill for some reason. The drainage on the Bay is not good and the green head flies will eat you alive. I wanted to go out at the end of September and was told I had to take a forecaddie and that he would get $50 per bag,in addition to the $100 greens fee. They would allow you to walk and carry your own bag however.

Was much better in the past

Shoot in the 80s

I played both the Pine course and the Bay course on consecutive days. Both days were warm, humid and relatively windless. The Bay course was in better shape because it was being groomed for the LPGA’s Shop-Rite tournament the next week. The Pines course is a very nice course. There’s water to contend with and without the forecaddies some shots would have been a guess. There were some tough placements of fairway traps and didn’t appeal to the amateur, pros probably like it. The Pines course was not memorable. The Bay course has some trickier shots like a blind second shot on par 5 that had to clear a grassy hill infested with sand traps running completely across the fairway. I usually don’t like playing with caddies but these days were pleasant. The greens on the Bay course were in perfect condition (LPGA) but they were all very small.

Club house was not very organized and driving range was 1500 yards away from the starter.
