This is not your local country club but a fun course, hit the ball stright and you'll be "OK" The 18th is a hole you'll need to par to make your day! Good bang for the buck.

A fun goat track in Hackettstown NJ. A very short (just over 6K from the back tees) pretty track winding up and down tree-covered hills. Some very nice holes, with one excellent par 3 surrounded by water and one longish par 4. There are some very strange holes with incredibly sharp doglegs (think 90* around the trees) or angled fairways. The course should be a par 68 (instead of a par 70) as both par 5's are really par 4's (465 and 470 from the back tees). The few times I have played this course the conditions have ranged from bad to atrocious. I played yesterday and most of the bunkers had no sand, the few that did hadn't been maintained in weeks, half the tee boxes were mud (no grass!), and the greens were heavily aerated. The fairways were healthy though. Don't get me wrong- this is a fun course with plenty of challenge for novice and intermediate golfers. But don't expect perfect conditions on this heavily traveled track.

Customer Service

The customer service here is very good, the starter and cart woman are very nice and attentive. I played in a shotgun and they started us as two foursomes per hole on the back 9- as a result we had a 6 hour round. Other than that everything was A-OK.
