Nice and easy muni course. It's well maintained and there aren't too many people crowding the course like the other munis in Bergen county. The course is pretty flat and there are no really outstanding or difficult holes. The clubhouse features a decent bar/restaurant and they don't overcharge you for the food at the 9/10th hole turnaround. The only downside is that you can't make a reservation before 1pm unless you've paid into the lottery for a seasonal time slot.

This course is a great course for one to practice while playing. Not at all hilly or difficult to walk. The course, a par 72 is fairly well maintained and while kind of short as far as today's premium courses go, not exactly a pushover either( the course record is 66). The greens have a history of being fairly hard to hold unless alot of rainfall has been falling(like this year), Most putts are straight but is deceiving in the initial read as they always appear to have a break. Tee boxes could be made a little more level but for 30-35 dollars still a bargain golf outing in northern new jersey. The driver is not really needed here, Whatever gets you 230 or better will usually give a shot at par if the approach and short game not too bad. I lose maybe 2 balls a round if I am really have a crappy day so fairly low "ammo" quota needed. They have a nice sit down bar/restaurant and the pro shop is well stocked but a bit overpriced compared to the other golf stores in the area. As I only live 5 minutes away, it is very convenient for us locals.
