Shoots in the 70s

Both courses are in excellent shape. The links course can be brutal due to the unforgiving rough. Approach shots just off the green can be buried in deep thick rough. Miss the fairways and the 2 foot fescue can eat a lot of balls. Greens are large and well maintained. The facility features a top notch practice range, clubhouse and restaurant. Cart is recommended for links layout.

Shoots in the 90s

Charleston is the newest of the county courses in Monmouth County and is shaping up to be the best we have. Golf Digest just rated the North Course a 4.5 out of 5. Great challenging course to play. Long course to walk, so we usually ride. Do yourself a favor and play from the blues. Absolutely beautiful course if you do.

Customer Service

Everyone is friendly enough. The rangers sometimes are a little hardnosed. But you can only play as fast as the 4 in front of you!

Shoots in the 90s

Played on older, North course, South expected to be more challenging and is only open right now for limited play. Medium length, well kept Monmouth County course. You can score very well here as long as you stay out of the long grasses that line most fairways. Course is well trapped and you will pay if you don''t place your shot. A lot of variety in layout. Good risk/reward opportunities. Cost is worth it even if you are not a county res.

Customer Service

Adequate, not great.

I love this course! Always in great condition. Very forgiving links style layout. Looking forward to the North course and the opening of the clubhouse.
