The design is perfect. You never feel like there is another group anywhere around.....which is rare these days. The course is always in excellent shape, and the greens are fast and firm.

This is a beautiful course right in the middle of a sprawling metropolis. The course is a classic Tillinghast design, with small greens, and few bunkers. The course rambles through the hillsides of Union. To truly experience this course, make sure you use a caddy. The greens are some of the best I have ever putted on. The course is not long, but places a premium on accuracy. If you hit into the rough, good luck advancing the ball very far. In these days of goofy golf, courses with rail-road ties everywhere, rock outcroppings in the middle of fairways, and water hazards on almost every hole, Suburban is none of the above. Just straight-forward golf. This is truly a course for the purist to play.
