This was a very poorly kept course. The cart rental was $26 and was more than the greens fee which i have never seen before. the tee boxes had no grass, and were full of chunks of mud. the rough extended into the middle of the fairways and the greens were full of lumps and bumps causing putts not to be able to hold the line of the putt stroked. This lack of quality of this course is certainly not worth the outrageous fee. Do not recommend!

i regrettably have to chime in with most of the previous reviewers. my round was awful, to be honest, there was barely any bentgrass to be found, most of the firways were actually tight, thick crabgrass. it looked as though there was no attempt at all to maintain the grounds wich could be great. on a last note, i have never seen clumps of crabgrass mowed tight to the ground before ON A GREEN NO LESS!! there were hundreds of them!!!!!!

Customer Service

not really an issue i didnt really talk to anybody and did not need to purchase anything

I generally agree with the prior reviewers. However, it is not a bad practice course, and, depending on where you live, its proximity and rates make it a decent option - especially when you are short on time. The course has lots of potential, and ownership should invest to bring this "up to par."

Customer Service

Not much.

I'm tired of people trashing this course. This course does have good potential to be nice but thats not the point. If your a golfer and you love golf its all about having competitive fun. And especially if your a beginner this course is great. You dont have to worry about talented snobby golfers shooting in back of you and everyone there is nice. It's great to go out with a group of three or four buddies and just shoot an honest round of golf. This place is convenient if your looking for a late minute golfing trip no matter what the shape of the course is in. People should just stop trashing this place, and for the complainers out there, dont go there if you dont like it!!! Go to Valley Brook or something...bottom line is, golf is a great sport that it doesnt matter how bad you shoot you still have fun doing it (or ya should).

I do not want ot be redundant but I concur with the negative reviews with these additions.
First, I was there on a day when there was a starter. Basically he was there to team up foursomes and cram in as many rounds as possible. Secondly, the layout for the first hole is stupid and dangerous. The tee off is over the only access road to the "clubhouse", and considering the hackers who frequent this dive the could be dead bodies on any given day. The sand traps are mud pits. There is little regulation of play by the seldom seen ranger. I rate this only a step ahead of Wild Oaks because the torture is in fewer yards, although Oaks has more consistant greens. Avoid this dive!

Customer Service

The attendant in the proshop had no clue what the prices of the items were (I wanted a sleeve of balls) Nice fellow, but clueless. There are no Mexicans to keep the place tidy. The men's room was in need of a cleaning.

I don't want to reiterate the previous entries but I concur with the negitive comments and will add a few more.
First, I was there on a day when there was a starter so it was not quite a free for all, but they are trying to push everyone along to cram in as many rounds as possible. The first tee is over the only access road to the "clubhouse" which is a stupid layout, not to mention dangerous considering the hackers who play here. Sand traps are mud pits. There is little regulating because seldom is heard a word from a ranger. The I would rate this higher than Wild Oaks only because the torture is in fewer yards. Although Wild Oaks' greens are more consistant. Avoid this zoo!

The proshop attendant had no idea what the prices of any items were ( I wanted a sleeve of balls) No course Mexicans to keep the place tidy. Basically it's "give me the money, play golf and leave us alone".

This golf course is a stain on our great pastime. The real crime of Kresson is that they were blessed with a very distinctive piece of land on which to build a short course. The upside potential of this course is quite strong. It could be a tremendous place to get in a quick and cheap practice round. Instead it is a place where dreams go to die a thousand deaths. Where to begin? There are no tee boxes; only mud pits. The greens are never cut and run at about a .6 on the stimp meter. If you can't drive the ball over 225 you probably can't hit a putt hard enough to get from one side of the green to the other. The course is over priced as well. If they spent half as much on maintenance as they do on billboards, it might be worth playing. Instead, the JerseyCritic rates Kresson as an "avoid at all costs." It's a shame, it really is. I'd write more but this course is simply not worth the effort.

A good course for a low score. The course is short and fairly easy. Maintenance could be better as grass is not cut well and some greens were not very green. The main problem is there isn't a starter so it is a free for all.
