This is one of he best public access courses in upstate NY. Avery good rendition of a links course. Hardly any trees, tons of well placed bunkers, fast, tight fairways, and wonderful green complexes. Course always in near perfect condition. Nice mixture of holes with 16-18 being truly outstanding. One of the best practice facilities i have seen anywhere. Join their email list and they will keep you posted about weekday deals. We have played there for as little as $25 with cart in off season. This is a better course than one that would charge $100 + in a different geographical area. Outstanding!

Wow!

I was in Binghamton caddying for a former college team-mate who made the field at the PGA Tour's BC Open a few weeks ago (Mid July) ...He missed the cut so we asked around at En-Joie (site of the BC) for a great course we could go play.

Everyone said to play at Hiawatha... we being two West coast boys, were HUGELY Impressed with the Links layout. Reminded me a great deal of the pictures I've seen of Shinnicock Hills, or the National Golf Links of Amer... Beautiful setting, very "rough" bunkering, deep yellow native grasses along the fairways and hazards. Really good, fair Golfcourse.

Only weakness is the slightly Mickeymouse (TPC-ish) 18th hole, an "S" shapped par 5 playing about 570 from the tips. Because of the design we were ALMOST able to carry our drives over the hazard to the 150 markers... (we both went for it with 2nd balls after playing our "real" drives conservativly... not sure how good a hole it would be if somebody could come to the last hole down wind (we had a hurting crosswind) and play the hole with a drive and p-wedge.

Aesthetically it's actually a pretty spectacular hole though, and the rest of the course was very fair, very cool. Great driving course, gotta drive it well with a few oportunities to cut corners over bunkers and hazards.

Really loved this course, great surprise.

We were lucky enough to get "comp-ed" but the rates are INCREDIBLY LOW... in the $40-50 range on WEEKENDS. AMAZING. A similar Course in the SF Bay Area would EASLILY command north of $100 and be booked solid weeks in advance.
