Shoots in the 80s

Played this course in an outing and it can be described as an average muni at best, even though it is a CC. For those who know the area, it is very similar to West Sayville or Timber Point. Flat course on the South Shore of Long Island, where almost all the holes seem to run north-south or south-north. We played the Blue tees and it only measured about 6,100 yds from Blues. It was very windy when we played and we were either hitting with the wind or straight into it(North wind). The greens were very dry and fast and didn't hold anything on the downwind side. There were a lot of dead grass areas in the rough, but the fairways and tee boxes were in good shape. As with most South Shore LI course, there is a slight problem with Canadian geese and their droppings, but not nearly as bad as the Suffolk County courses.
Overall, I'm glad the outing was covered by my company and I would never consider joining this club for it's golf.

Shoots in the 80s

Flat course on South Shore of Long Island. Challenge is constant wind off Great South Bay. Makes it playable in hottest weather. In good shape for semi-private club. Open to members and village residents. Course is undergoing massive renovations. Completed holes are beautiful.
