Shoots in the 80s

I strongly agree with the previous reviewer. This is one of the best values in the Hamptons/Riverhead area (let's hope they keep it that way!) Having played here a lot over the past six years (my Ol man too) before moving South and also played recently while up in NY visiting friends. What they have done to this course, basically, changing it from a nine holer to a beautiful 18 holes of challenging golf, is nothing short of fantastic. And the staff is always VERY cool, accomodating and out to make your experience enjoyable. The restaurant, hall bar etc..they added is great, as is the pro shop. A far cry from the short 9 hole beginning when 18 was 2x a round and the clubhouse was the size of my living room.

Customer Service

Always been great. Friends threw me my pre-bachelor party 'tournament' here before the night out and they were very cool and handled some 'minor' transgressions in a very professional, classy way.

Beats the other public course on the other side of town (Ind Island) by a landslide. NO comparison

Shoot in the 80s

My favorite public course on Long Island! Used to be 9 holes now is 18. The front 9 and back 9 are like two totally different courses! Both nines have serious rough close to hole. Shots can end up against a high collar so watch out!

Front is short (2761 yds from white tees) but narrow with tons of sand bunkers. Front nine requires thinking on the tee box. Don't think driver on every Par 4/5. Both Par 3's are tough. First Par 3 slopes front to back and is guarded by a trap, second par 3 is over 200 yards. Intimidating tee shot on lone Par 5 on front. Stay to right to have a good second shot.

Back 9 is longer (3168 yds.) and more links-style. Tough putting on these greens. Wind is a major factor on the back also. Super thick rough. Both Par 5's have very tough second shots to move ball forward and I have not seen anybody even close to green in 2 shots. You have to make putts to score because the pins are always in killer spots.

Customer Service

SUPER-FRIENDLY staff. They go out of their way to try to accommodate everybody.
