This very nice public course is only a few minutes outside Syracuse, New York. First hole has striking elevated tee. Once down in the valley the front nine is flat then back up the hill for the 9th hole. Back nine, however, is very hilly with plenty of sidehill, downhill lies, so take a cart! Course is beautifully maintained, with fairways and greens in nice shape. Tee boxes are sometimes a little spotty. 6300 yards from the whites is reasonable, as are the green fees. Some beautiful views are out there as well. During our round several deer ran across the fairway. Not a lot of water to worry about, but a good number of bunkers, which were well groomed. The rough was longinsh so it took a minute or two to find your ball sometimes, but that's golf! This is a fun and playable course.
