Scratch Golfer
One of New York's most exclusive private clubs. If you aren't a member, they don't want you to know it exists. I've heard the USGA approached them several times about holding events there but the members decline. They let my high school golf team play there (that was quite a while ago though). I've played the best courses--Pebble, Shinnecock, Boulders, Grayhawk, Bay Hill, etc.--and this ranks up there with all of them. But tougher. Links style golf. A classis MacDonald design (early 1900s). If you know someone, take advantage. Customer Service Great. Caddys are excellent. There are polo fields (I think) and croquet next to the driving range.
