Heavy play means slow play in many cases. No driving range.

Shadow Lake is a fun - wide open - golf course. It gets a ton of play but they still manage to keep it in fairly good shape. There are no truely great holes, but several very good holes. The par three 9th is fun with an elevated tee, water right and trees left. It can be slow (more than 4 hours) especially on weekends. This is a great course for higher handicaps as it's very hard to lose a ball here - except in the water, and you don't get a sense of pressure to play well. It's very open and usually pretty difficult to hit into players on other holes with an errant tee shot. There is also a 9-hole executive course at Shadow Lake.
