Very nice public access course in a very pretty area.....has a private club feel..nice variety of holes...course plays longer than posted yardage...very nice condition....lots of elevation changes

Fairly open course- so you won't lose too many balls.
greens roll perfectly, and can be medium fast- but the greens have big slopes, so you must sometimes kill and uphill putt on one green, then baby one downhill on the next one!

Tee boxes on the forward tees are mostly flat- on the blues they can be absolutely unfairly sloped!
Some greens (#9, #1) are so sloped your ball will be at the bottom if you hit the green- if you miss it long or short and are above the pin- add three strokes and go to the next tee!!!!!!

The one thing you will notice right away in this flat part of New York is that the course is NOT flat! You will be hitting from lots of sidehill and downhill lies, so you may want to practice them. The course is 6750 yards from the Blues, and it plays more like 6950 yards. There are a few short par 4's which add distance to the remaining holes. But the short ones tend to play into a hill or around a corner at about 215 off the tee, so you still need a longer shot off the tee. The par 5 4th hole is all uphill, 525 yards- playing about 560! From the blues there are two par 4's that play 460 yards, so you gotta hope it's not into the wind! The course iis right on Lake Ontario, so there is usually a breeze in Summer, and it's downright windy every other time of year!
