Silver Lake is one of the best of the NYC public courses. The course is generally in good shape, although it seems to take a little longer to dry out than most other courses. The front 9 is considerably more difficult with lots of hills. The back 9 flattens out and plays alot easier. Because it plays harder that most other NYC public courses, getting out for a morning round is not out of the question, and playing under 5 hours! Thier seems to be a little more noise than i'm accustomed to hearing due to its proximiny to playgrounds and parks. General rating 6 out 10 NYC public course rating 8 out of 10

challenging golf course

smells kinda funny there (probably cause it's near the land fills)

Lots of narrow fairways. Very tough course but challenging. Lost 3 balls there cause when hitting the ball up the hill (upward hill), I think the ball got caught in the mud on the land somewhere. Not a good feeling.
