These courses will test your ability to score. Plain and simple... these are tough courses. Bring all your clubs and a few more balls than usual. It's best if someone is paying on their expense account. Get the golf massage after. It's heaven.

Played both courses around 3/1/02 and brought a friend from out of town who is a near scratch golfer. Yes the courses are in excellent condition. Yes, the GPS in the carts is nice and yes, they give you some of the extra touches of resort style golf, like covered bridges, waterfalls, free little golf towel, plastic ball marker, etc. Where's the important basic stuff though? Where's the on-course water coolers? (You have to buy water at the over-priced snack bar) No trashcans at the tees or too few anyway. Most importantly, the courses themselves are fine but really nothing exceptional about the layouts. I can remember 3 or 4 holes out of the 36. The problem is ultimately the value. This is a "resort"/conference center and they use that to really hit you on the price. I think it cost me approx $140-150 to play the 36. That might not be too far out of line if this facility was in Orlando, Myrtle Beach, etc. but when you take into consideration the vast amount of other quality tracks in the area for half the price, you start wondering why you would ever play there more than once. If you're entertaining a business client and you're buying, take them to Grandover. Just don't let your client see the receipt or they may question your business savvy! Nice courses but I will not be back.

Customer Service

There were some issues with the front desk staff regarding tee time scheduling. I was told/scheduled one thing on the phone and then another when I got there. Friendly enough overall but seemed disorganized at the time

Immaculate courses!! Both are challenging layouts, usually with forgiving fairways to hit, but difficult approach shots to get on in regulation. Not something I can afford every week, but makes me wish that I could.
