Shoots in the 80s

I live right down the street so I play here quite often. They just recently reopened the back 9 after a complete redesign. It is a tough one for those who struggle of the tees, especially with a new par 5 that is 606. The big problem is that you have to hit a 3 wood or be able to drive it over 300 and fade the ball in order to not hit the pond that goes directly down the center of the fairway. Greens are very lumpy on the new holes, and don't have a very true roll to them. A nice place to play if you are going to walk and don't want to make a tee time. My green fees are also $10 lower due to a military discount.

Customer Service

The staff is very nice, and they are inprocess of redoing the club house. They are bringing in more products and refreshments.

Shoot in the 90s

This is an interesting little golf course that features mostly narrow fairways and lots of water. For someone who struggles to stay in the 90s, this can be a frustrating place to play, but never dull. You can par one hole and lose 3 balls on the next. Playing from the white tees, the front side has two extreme par 3s, nbr 3 is 198 open yds and 8 is a 134 yd island green. Nbr 5 tests your concentration with water in front of tee and down right side with a tree guarding the left side of green. The back nine doesn't have as much water, but nbr 11 requires a carefully placed tee shot followed by a long approach over a lake. Half the par 4s beg for 3wds off the tees, while the other half are hard drivers. Distances can be deceiving, the air is heavy and ocean breezes are always present. Course tends to dry out over the summer, but greens are in good shape. Usually never crowded and there are discounts for seniors and afternoon play. I listed 3-5 balls lost, but usually find more than I lose. Bring ball retriever!

Customer Service

Staff always friendly, getting tee times usually easy.
