A lot of money has been put into this course . New club house, lots of new trees. But the fairways and greens are still on the low end of muni golf acceptable. Chewed up,and more than a few cracks from the clay and underwatering. That said, it's a decent value for residents. But the staff needs to be a bit more customer focused. My son and I played 9 holes here for $32 bucks including a cart at twilight. A few days later we paid $29 for 9 holes at Chase Oaks (a much nicer course)
Customer service needs to be improved. The layout of the course is tight. It was originally 9 holes and they added another 9 to make 18. That makes it confusing.

Would agree alot with the first review. Course conditions are getting better monthly - from tee to green. Don't go in the rough because it is just that for the time being. Oak Hollow has begun to install sprinklers in the roughs now (approx 4 or 5 complete) and will continue this process gradually. Only 4 or 5 sand traps, but that is to increase as well. Some holes are a challenge, some are straight-forward. Holes 6,7, and 8 are an interesting trio. The signs are that this course will get better with time (just underwent renovation in 1999) - like good wine!

Customer Service

Excellent customer service, call on Wed for Saturday and Sunday tee times

Could use a better snack shop and pro shop - but I don't think thats the focus at this time

I live in Mckinney, TX and I have to say that this course is pretty good. It is not hard and it is a good coure for all types of players. You don't have to have much distance but it is really good to have on certain holes. The par 4's are short so if you can hit it long off the tee you are in a good position to make birdie. Number 8 is there signature hole and it is really hard you must be long off the tee and acurate. But the fairways are big and if you slice or hook you are not always worse than your opponenets. It is also a very good price and they have made a big improvement from 1999. So don't listen to anyone that has played it in 99 or earlier because they have changed into a nice little 18 hole course. The greens are not the best, there is room for improvement but they are pretty consistant on changing the tee boxes so there are not so many divots. Some lumps but nothing big.
