Shoots in the 90s

We played Sea Scape on 4/30/08. I have played this course 10 times and like the layout.

However, the course condition was awful. The fairways were only half grass, the tee boxes were shaggy, and the greens were uneven. I understand that a course near the ocean can take a beating during the winter and take a while to recover in the Spring, but overseeding could have made the course much better.

I'll never go back.

Model Reviewed: seascape golf course

I loved the old course routing. For those who never played it, you missed a great experience, 5 par 5s, 5 pars 3s. Have played "new course 4xs so far.FYI all new greens in 2005, A1 tifway I think, and routing changed on 8 holes. now a par 71. only 1 par five on backside. Seascape is all about the tee shots and keeping ball in play off the tee. Fairways bordered by OB and love grass. if you can't hit it straight bring lots of balls. Driver is not needed on 1/2 the holes. Course plays totally different when wind switches direction. Amazingly course has lots of elevation changes and plays like a links course. Definitely a must play if you go to the outer banks. A bit pricey at @ $100 but consistent with prices of other courses in the area.

I played three courses on the outer banks 3 summers ago- this was my groups favorite. Not the flashiest course, but gives you lots of challenging looks. The wind gives you interesting trouble at times which just doubles the challenge. There were several uncuttable doglegs demanding accurate tee shots with irons, forced carries, well placed playable bunkers (some pot bunkers for extra cussing), surprisingly little water, but lots of difficult untamed waste areas you do not want to play in. Overall, a very enjoyable round - I hope they don't mess it up with the new "improvements". The course was great before - I see they have now jacked up the price - I hope it is worth it.

Customer Service

Staff was great.
